# Quickstart

> A short path to launching your first event on the PLVR Business Portal, from event page to first ticket sale.

This page assumes you already have an account and an organization. If not, start with [Onboarding](/getting-started/onboarding), which covers signing up, creating your organization, your profile and your team.

**1. Open your event**

Select **Events** in the header, then select your event. If you do not have one yet, see [Create your first event](/getting-started/onboarding#create-your-first-event).

**2. Build the event page**

Open **Event Editor**, review each section, and select **Save Event**. See [Event editor](/events/event-editor).

**3. Set up your tickets**

Open **Tickets** and review your ticket types and prices. See [Ticket management](/tickets/ticket-management).

**4. Set the event live**

On the **Events** page, use the status menu on the event's row to choose **Public**. See [Event status](/events/overview#event-status).

**5. Promote it**

Create a [promo code](/promotions/promo-codes) or a [tracking link](/promotions/tracking-links) to share, and see which channels bring buyers.

**6. Watch sales come in**

Follow sales on the event's [Overview](/events/overview) and in the [Ticket report](/tickets/ticket-report).
