# Table booking

> Set up your venue's table booking: venue details, images, and the tables guests can book with their capacity and minimum spend.

Table booking lets your organization offer tables that guests can book. It is set up once for your organization, not per event, and has two parts: **Settings** and **Tables**.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Table booking is organization setup. It appears as **Table Booking** in the top navigation only for owners, admins and managers. Anyone else who opens a table booking link is sent to a "no access" page.

## Set up table booking

The first time you open **Table Booking**, you see **Set Up Table Booking**. Add your venue's details first, then the tables guests can book. Only one table booking is created per organization.

**1. Fill in the details**

Complete the form described under [Settings](#settings). **Name** and **Currency** are required.

**2. Select Create Table Booking**

You are taken straight to **Tables**, because nothing can be booked onsite until it has tables.

**3. Add your tables**

See [Tables](#tables).

After setup, opening **Table Booking** goes straight to your settings. A sidebar shows your logo, name and venue, with **Settings** and **Tables**.

## Settings

**Table Booking Settings** covers the name, currency, venue and images guests see when booking a table.

| Field | Required | Notes |
| - | - | - |
| **Logo** | No | Shown as the avatar where guests book a table. You crop it to a square when you upload it. Images up to 5 MB. |
| **Name** | Yes | Up to 200 characters, for example "Lumi Lounge". |
| **Currency** | Yes | Every table and table order is priced in it. |
| **Venue** | No when setting up | Search for a venue and pick it. Leave it empty to use your organization's venue. Booking times follow the venue's timezone, which is shown once saved. |
| **Status** | Settings only | **Active** or **Inactive**. |
| **Seat Map** | No | Opened from the **Seat map** button on the booking page. |
| **Drinks Menu** | No | Shown on the booking **Menu** page. |
| **Rules** | No | Shown on the booking **Rules** page. |

The currency choices are USD, SGD, HKD, THB, KRW, PHP, IDR, MYR, TWD, JPY, CAD, EUR and CNY.

Select **Save Changes** to apply; it is only available once you have changed something.

> [!WARNING]
>
> If you change the currency, existing table and table order amounts keep their numbers and are not converted. A table priced at 500 stays at 500 in the new currency.

### Status

Table booking cannot be deleted. While it is **Inactive**, it is hidden from onsite until you set it back to **Active**. An inactive table booking shows "Inactive" in the sidebar.

If saving fails because a venue is needed, the message appears under **Venue**. Pick a venue and save again.

## Tables

The **Tables** page lists the tables guests can book, with the capacity and minimum spend each table order starts from. Use **Search** to filter by table name.

| Column | Meaning |
| - | - |
| **Table Name** | The table's name, for example A1. |
| **Default Capacity** | How many people the table seats by default. |
| **Minimum Spend** | The default minimum spend, in your table booking's currency. |

Capacity and minimum spend are defaults that prefill a table order onsite. Each order can still change them.

### Add tables

Select **Add Tables** to add several at once.

**1. Fill in the first row**

Enter **Name**, **Default Capacity** and **Minimum Spend**. Name can be up to 64 characters. Capacity is a whole number from 1 to 100. Minimum spend is entered in whole currency units, such as 5000.00, and can't be negative.

**2. Add more rows**

Select **Add Row**. The next row picks up where the last name left off (A1 becomes A2, T09 becomes T10) and keeps the same capacity and spend. A name without a trailing number is left blank for you to type. You can add up to 100 rows in one go, and remove a row with the bin icon.

**3. Add the tables**

Select **Add N Tables**. A message confirms how many were added.

Table names must be unique within your table booking, regardless of capital letters and extra spaces. A row that repeats an existing name, or another row's name, shows an error on that row and can't be saved.

### Edit a table

Select the pencil icon on a row to change the name, default capacity or minimum spend. Table orders already made from this table keep their own capacity and minimum spend.

The page doesn't offer a way to delete a table.
