# During the event

> Event day: admit guests, sell at the door, run the onsite desk, and handle cashless issues and cases.

## Goal

Get guests in smoothly and solve problems quickly.

## Checklist

**1. Open the doors**

Check guests in and admit them. See [Guests](/onsite/guests) and the [event day runbook](/guides/event-day-runbook).

**2. Sell at the door**

Guests without tickets scan the QR code from your poster. See [Door sales](/promotions/door-sales).

**3. Run the desk**

Start from the [Command Center](/onsite/command-center). Use [Search](/onsite/search) to find someone, [Tickets & Entry](/onsite/tickets) when a guest cannot get in, and [Participants](/onsite/participants) to see everything about one person.

**4. Wristbands (PLVR Tap events)**

Bind, take off, freeze or replace bands. See [Wristbands](/onsite/wristbands).

**5. Handle cashless issues**

Resolve unresolved top-ups in [Cashless](/onsite/cashless) and follow activity in [Cashless activity](/tap/cashless-activity). Check [Approvals](/tap/approvals) if a request is waiting.

**6. Record problems**

Log them as [Service cases](/onsite/cases).

## Shift jobs

Each person signs in with a login code and a role: check-in, add-on check, binding, top-up or supervisor. See [Onsite staff](/onsite/onsite-staff) and the [Scanning team](/roles/scanning-team) page. Some wristband actions are Restricted and need a supervisor.

## Who does this

The [Scanning team](/roles/scanning-team), with the [Core team](/roles/core-team) on call for decisions and the [Data team](/roles/data-team) watching sales and cashless activity.

## What done looks like

* Everyone with a valid ticket got in.
* Cases are recorded and resolved or handed over.
* No top-ups are left unresolved.
* Login codes are set to **Inactive** after the shift.
