Goal: Give targeted discounts without changing your public ticket prices. Promo codes work on top of any ticket price. Buyers enter the code at checkout and the discount applies to the tickets the code covers. This guide shows common setups. For every field, see Promo Codes.

Setup 1: A partner code with a usage cap

A venue partner can offer their audience 10% off, limited to 50 uses.
1

Create the code

Open Promo Codes, then select Create. Choose Generation Method: Manual and type a Code, such as PARTNER10.
2

Set the discount

Choose Discount Type: Percentage and a Discount Value of 10.
3

Limit where it applies

Apply To: Specific ticket type, then pick the session and the ticket (a General Admission ticket or a bundle).
4

Add a usage limit

Turn on Usage Limit and set the maximum transactions to 50. The code stops working after that.

Setup 2: A flash sale with a time limit

Turn on Time Limit and set a start and end date and time, for example a 48-hour weekend offer. Choose Apply To: All ticket types to cover everything.

Setup 3: Unique codes for many people

Choose Generation Method: Bulk Generate to create up to 100 codes at once, with an optional Code Prefix such as “VIP”. Combine with a Usage Limit of 1 to make each code single-use.

Setup 4: A fixed amount off

Choose Discount Type: Fixed Amount and enter an amount in your event currency, such as $5 off.

Promo codes and tiers

Promo codes and release chains work together. A code that applies to a specific ticket only works on that ticket, so a code for “General Admission” does not discount Early Bird or Final Release. Choose All ticket types if you want it to work across every tier.

Check how a code performs

  • In Promo Codes, see Uses/Limit, Revenue, and Cost per code.
  • Open View Usage on a row to see each buyer, tickets, and time.
  • In the Ticket Report, the Promo Code column shows which orders used which codes.
