Campaigns lets you send email blasts about your event to your attendees and followers. Campaigns are sent right away when you confirm, and you can follow their results afterward on the same page.

Weekly send limit

At the top of the page, the Email Blast card shows Remaining Blasts. To protect deliverability and improve engagement, each event has a weekly limit on the number of blasts. Hover over the info icon to see the limit. When no blasts remain, Send emails > is disabled until your allowance refreshes.

Your campaigns

The Emails list shows every campaign for the event:
  • Campaign Name, with the send date for sent campaigns.
  • Status: sending or sent.
  • Recipients: how many people it went to.
  • Open Rate and Click Rate.
  • Revenue: revenue attributed to the campaign.
Select the eye icon (View campaign) to open a read-only copy. Sent campaigns cannot be edited, and there is no draft state. Metrics show -- until data is available. When there are none, the list says “No email campaigns yet”.

Create and send a campaign

Select Send emails > to open New Email Campaign.
1

Name the campaign

Enter a Campaign Name (required). It is for your internal identification only and is not shown to recipients.
2

Add recipients

Select Add Recipients and choose who to send to (see below). At least one recipient group or email is required.
3

Write the subject and content

Enter an Email Subject and Email Content, both required. Use the editor tools described below to personalize the message.
4

Send a test

Select Send test to email a preview to your own address. A message confirms when it has been sent.
5

Send the campaign

Select Send email. A Ready to Go window tells you how many recipients the campaign will go to. Select Send to start, or Cancel to go back. You can track its status in the campaigns list afterward.
Send test and Send email stay disabled until the name, subject, content, and at least one recipient are filled in.
Subjects and content that contain restricted words are blocked, and you will be asked to revise them. The message lists the words that were found. This is checked for both test emails and the real send.

Choose recipients

In the Add Recipients window there are two tabs, and only the active tab is used when you save.
Pick one or more groups. Each shows how many people are in it:
  • Ticket Holders: everyone who purchased a ticket.
  • Pending RSVPs: people who RSVP’d but haven’t been approved.
  • Interested (No Purchase): people who marked “Interested” but didn’t buy.
A group with no people cannot be selected.

Recipient estimate

As soon as you choose recipients, you will see “This campaign will be sent to N recipients” and an Estimated send time. The estimate is “less than 1 minute” for under 100 recipients, and about 1 minute per 100 recipients above that. The same estimate appears in the Add Recipients window and on the campaign form. Once a campaign has been sent, its page shows the final recipient count instead.

The email editor

The editor toolbar offers bold, italic, and image insertion. Web addresses you type are turned into links automatically. It also has these features:
  • Insert Name: adds a Name placeholder at your cursor that stands in for each recipient’s name. It behaves as a single unit, so one backspace removes it.
  • Insert image (in the toolbar): opens Insert Image. Upload an image from your computer on the Upload tab, or paste an image link on the URL tab. Add a short description to the image.
  • Add Button: adds a call-to-action button at the bottom of your email. Once added, the button changes to Edit Button.
In the Add Button window, fill in: Select Save to apply the button. To remove it, open Edit Button and select Delete.
Link the button to your Event Page if you want the campaign’s click rate and revenue to be tracked in the campaigns list.
You can only send a limited number of blasts per week, so review your recipients and use Send test before sending.
